Meet Ryan Dunkin, Au.D.

Ryan Dunkin, Au.D., brings more than two decades of audiology experience—and a genuine passion for connecting with people—to McLean Hearing Center. Originally from northwest Oklahoma, Ryan moved to Dallas in 2001 and has been dedicated to helping individuals improve their hearing and communication ever since.

With over 28 years of clinical expertise, Ryan values the personal relationships he forms with his patients. Audiology gives him the opportunity not only to diagnose hearing challenges, but also to truly understand the everyday struggles people face. He’s especially passionate about assistive listening devices, helping patients who struggle with television clarity or cell phone communication find simple, effective solutions.

Ryan stays current with advancements in hearing technology by attending continuing education courses throughout the year. This commitment allows him to deliver exceptional, research-backed care and ensure every patient receives the most modern and effective hearing solutions available.

He is licensed by the State of Texas and is also a founding board member of the Dallas Audiology Society, reflecting his dedication to advancing the profession locally and supporting fellow clinicians. His academic background includes an undergraduate degree from Northwestern Oklahoma State University, a Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, and a Doctorate in Audiology from the Arizona School of Health Sciences through A.T. Still University.

Outside the clinic, Ryan loves going to the movies, hot yoga, biking around White Rock Lake, concerts, attending local theaters, and exploring new restaurants throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area—especially the hidden gems that make the region’s food scene so exciting.
